Before launching Insight Insurance and Risk Management Alexis was Managing Director and National Practice Leader for Jardine Lloyd Thompson Canada, as well as former director of the Insurance Brokers Association of Alberta, Edmonton chapter.
Alexis is a graduate of the Executive Program at Queens University and the Risk Management program at the University of Toronto.

Kevin Herter offers nearly 20 years of commercial insurance experience for industry. Kevin specializes in complex insurance placements and offers clients a comprehensive and competitive perspective on insurance needs and opportunities. Hewan joined the Insight team in 2013 as a Client Solutions Manager and a Surety Broker. With almost a decade of experience as a Client Solutions Manager and Surety Broker, Hewan provides technical support, strategic placements and superior customer service to her clients.
Hewan holds her Level 1 Alberta License as well as an Accounting Certificate from the Academy of Learning College.

While she has dabbled in Commercial insurance over the years, she has remained true to her passion for servicing Personal Lines clients. Branden is a third-generation insurance broker holding a Level 1 General Insurance License in Alberta. With 2 years of experience in the large commercial sector, he is working on a wide variety of accounts including Oil & Gas, Transportation, Residential & Commercial Construction and more. Branden provides technical support to his clients with his broad experience with online compliance companies. He also assists the Surety team with preparing Surety Bonds for our construction clients.
With 5 years of prior experience as a mobile crane operator, he understands the exposure in Oil & Gas, Residential & Commercial Construction, and Transportation risks.

Jill Sarluis brings over 35 years of insurance experience to the Insight team. Previously, Jill was Senior Vice President Operations at Jardine Lloyd Thompson Canada where she managed global efficiency and change management initiatives through offices in Canada, the UK, and Mumbai.
Jill offers Insight clients extensive expertise in risk management, change management, and underwriting for a range of industry sectors.
Jill is a graduate of University of Western Ontario and has her F.C.I.P.
Rob Spanach, CAIB CRM

Rob has been in the insurance industry for over 7 years and currently holds his general level insurance license in Alberta, British Columbia and the North West Territories. He holds the distinction of a Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) and is working towards his Canadian Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. Along with his general licenses Rob holds his full Life license in Alberta.
Rob has worked on a wide variety of accounts ranging from the hospitality industry, large property risks, all aspects of construction industry and manufacturing companies. Rob came from a construction background where he managed an Oilfield Construction company for over a decade.
Rob is also current Chair of the Strategic Management Committee for the Special Olympics in Edmonton.

Dave has been in the insurance industry for over 15 years. Before joining the Insight team, he worked for a family-owned insurance brokerage which spanned Canada from Coast to Coast and into the Great White North.
Dave holds his level 2 Alberta license and has a wide breadth of experience working with clients throughout Canada, the United States, and the Middle East. His specialty is providing coverage for Western Canada’s construction, oil & gas, and realty sectors.

Candice has been involved in the Insurance industry for 16 years. Prior to joining Insight as a Client Solutions Manager, she honed her skills with HUB International. This work has familiarized her with many of the industries that Insight specializes in, including property, construction, and oil & gas risks.
Candice holds her level 2 Alberta license and is experienced managing large and complex accounts where she provides expertise in risk management, claims service, and commercial insurance placements.
Dana Bouwman has been helping companies identify, quantify, and manage their risks since February 2017 and has been with Insight Insurance & Risk Management since September 2018. Upon entering the industry, Dana was quick to complete her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation. Dana’s experience and education has driven her to specialize working with construction, engineering, architecture, and technology companies. She was selected for the Insurance Business Magazine ‘Young Guns’ 2019 list.
Dana is very interested in helping her local community and frequently volunteers her time. She was recently elected to the Edmonton Construction Association where she sits on the Finance & Risk Management Committee. Dana brushes up on her carpentry skills once a quarter by volunteering for Habitat for Humanity Edmonton. Each week Dana dedicates time to creating videos that help CFOs and CEOs navigate the sometimes muddy waters of commercial insurance.

Ana Araujo has been involved in the insurance industry for the past 14 years. Prior to joining Insight Ana spent three years at with a multi-national insurance brokerage as a senior broker. Ana was also a key contact and broker for multinational large complex property and liability accounts. Ana also has experience in the establishment and management of Captive Insurers used in large construction and oil and gas placements.
Previous to her broking career, Ana was a senior commercial property/casualty underwriter with Intact Insurance for 11 years. In this role she serviced large commercial brokerages both with local and international operations.
Ana is only one course from completing her CGA degree.
